History of the Games Online

yes right, this is a game the sims. and this game is a game that many people are great demand. same as point blank, poker, allies empires, or any game. The sims are more likely to the character of our own that illustrates how our day everyday. want to know its history? here it is.

Online Games
Online Games is a type of computer games that use computer networks (LAN or internet), as the medium. Usually the online game is provided as an additional service from the company's online service provider, or can be accessed directly through the system provided by the companies that provide such games.
According to Andrew Rollings and Ernest Adams, game online is more accurately described as a technology, rather than as a genre of games; a mechanism for connecting players together, rather than a particular pattern in a game (Rolling & Adams, 2006: 770)
Online game consists of many kinds, ranging from simple text based games to games that use complex graphs and form a virtual world inhabited by many players at once.
In online games, there are two main elements, namely the server and client. Administer game servers and connect the client, while the client is the user game that uses server capabilities.
Online games can be called as part of social activities because the player can interact with each other and often creates a virtual community of cyberspace.


History of the online games


Online games started in 1969, when the game is for two people beginning to be developed with the aim of education . Then in the early 1970s, a system with time-sharing capability, called Plato, was created to facilitate students learning online, where users can access multiple computers simultaneously according to the time required. Two years later, Plato IV came with new graphics abilities, which are used to create the game for many players(multiplayer games).
Online games actually experienced growth after 1995, limiting the NSFNET (National Science Foundation Network) was abolished, making access to the full domain from the Internet. The success of the monetary approach companies are launching this game, so the competition began to grow and make an online game is growing to this day.




Positive Impact
  • Through the internet, allows players to perform virtual socialization without being limited space and time. It's not rare anymore when one player online games in a relationship of friendship and even marriage that started from playing online games together.
  • Online games often require players to strategize in a short time so that the right games can train a person's response and speed of thought. The results of University of Rochester in New York, United said that the players have to focus more on what's going on around him, when compared with those who rarely play games, let alone that do not play at all. 
  • Online games if used to open business opportunities and earning additional land. For example, by becoming entrepreneurs game center, selling vouchers games, or even make buying and selling through the game. 


Negative Impact
  • Socialization physically reduced, because the players spend more time to socialize in cyberspace. 
  • Online games played via the computer, which issued a spectrum of light that can damage the eyes if stared continuously without a break. 
  • Some online games require a fee to play, for example in the category of a game of pay-to-play or just the cost of leasing a computer in a cyber cafe or game center. If not well organized, online games can cost quite large. 
  • Online games can mess up management time if not properly regulated. Many cases in which the players are addicted to online game play to lose track of time and shirking all responsibility and work in the real world, such as skipping school.
